On-board UI, CloudPrint Platform, Go-to-Market Strategy

The Method Series represented a massive leap for MakerBot, moving from "prosumer" desktop printing into the "Industrial-Grade" space. As both Senior Designer and Creative Director, I was responsible for ensuring that the product experience was as sophisticated as its engineering. This involved leading the design of the physical-digital interface, developing a robust remote management platform, and shaping the visual narrative that would define Method's entry into the competitive professional engineering market.

Role & Contribution

Strategic Positioning: Worked closely with the Marketing team to define the "Industrial-Grade for the Desktop" identity. I led the creation of high-impact visual assets—including photography, cinematic renders, and video content—that communicated precision, reliability, and speed. Intuitive Workflow: I led the design of the high-resolution on-board touchscreen interface. The goal was to simplify complex industrial processes (such as dual-extrusion calibration and material loading) into a guided, seamless user experience.
